No. Apparently marrying a governor also opens doors for people. They can claim 35 years of experience from listening in on one side of a coversation. They can also vote for Bush’s authority to go to war, speak well of the war three years later, and then claim to be against it when they run for the presidency.
The Presidency always goes to the highest bidder.

I don’t know about Obama but Bush would never have become President if his father wasn’t ahead clearing brush for him all the way.
Being an actor might help. Reagan was Governor then President of the US and now California has another actor Governor, Schwarzenegger.

I LOVE Obama’s international flavor. It’s great experience for dealing with international leaders. Africa and the Middle East are where much of the dealing has to be done. What you criticize Obama for is actually one of his greatest strengths.
Obama had little or no contact with his father. So while that may be true for GW Bush, you aren’t correct about Obama. I read his book, Dreams From My Father. His father died a while ago. He was a gov’t official himself in Kenya. Was disgraced and fired. And died before Obama became involved in politics. Thanks.

HE HAS NOT AT ANY TIME DURING THIS CAMPAIGN REVEALED WHAT HE STANDS FOR, WHAT HE BELIEVES IN, OTHER THAN OBAMA, NOR WHAT HIS PLANS ARE TO EFFECT CHANGE WHICH HE TALKS ABOUT UNCEASINGLY.
I BELIEVE THAT WHEN MICHELLE OBAMA MADE HER INFAMOUS STATEMENT – THAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY, SHE PROBABLY MADE THE MOST TRUTHFUL STATEMENT OF THE CAMPAIGN. SHE JUST FAILED TO NAME WHAT HER COUNTRY IS. I BELIEVE THAT IT IS OBVIOUS THAT HER COUNTRY AS WELL AS THAT OF HER HUSBAND IS NOT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. .
WE ALL WERE ASTOUNDED WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WHICH CAME INTO THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN COFFERS EARLY IN THIS YEAR, JUST WHEN IT WAS NEEDED. I BELIEVE THE SOURCE IS NOT VERY MYSTERIOUS. I BELIEVE THIS MONEY WAS DISTRIBUTED IN AMOUNTS WHICH WOULD NOT RAISE A FLAG TO A GREAT MANY PEOPLE TO BE DONATED TO THE CAMPAIGN.
