The only pitfall to buying tax delinquent properties is that in most states the owner has up to one year to recoup his property by paying the back taxes and penalties, so beware, you could fall in love with a home or something and loose it within the first year.
How much compensation’s you receive would be up to individual state laws and practices. The good news is not many people who loose land and or homes to delinquent taxes can afford to reclaim it. There is that risk however so it is buyer beware!!!
I suggest you investigate the laws in your area carefully before purchasing any property from the delinquent tax scrolls.
