Is FireAuction.com a legitimate site? They claim to be offering things seized by the government?

I found PoliceAuctions.com and FireAuctions.com, two sites that seem to be related. They claim to offer seized valuables for auction. They also claim that these auctions often close well below the value of what is being offered.

Is there any way to verify if these sites are legitimate? I’m not letting my money get anywhere near them until I know for sure.
