Looking to buy a car for cheap. Found some auto auctions online, like government repossesion, seizures, etc… All of the cars are super cheap. Are these auctions fraud? Anybody bought one of these vehicles?

cars that have been seized by the government or law enforcement. i hear the auction them off for real cheap and i want to figure out what i need to do and where i need to go to get one of those cars.

I have heard that you can get stuff cheap at these auctions and would like to find a nice car.

well i looked at the government car auctions online at www.seizedcars.com , and i dont get it . like can you really buy a 2003 bmw for like $2000 ? are these prices actually acurate . i just dont get it . help . lol

Also, what sort of fees and closing costs can I expect? I’m looking at a 1997 Nissan 200SX with fairly low miles, less than 100,000 and the minimum bid is $2,000. I have $2,800 but I don’t know if that will be enough. I have no experience with these auctions. Also, if you bid, are you obligated to buy?

They reckon you can get up to 95% off retail price because they are seized cars and they give them away cheep coz it cost to much to store them.

Is this crap or have any of you guys saved heeps buying cars this way?

i am looking to buy a car in about 3 months, i don’t want any month to month leases. i just want to be able to pay cash and own the car. sad to say, i know the economy is bad, and i feel one mans loss is another mans gain. and i know people can’t afford to keep their cars or people are getting their car reposed. so far i have been looking at craigslist and they seem to have decent amount of cars but yet i am looking for the ultimate steel, i have herd a little about government seize or repo cars or auction, and i was wondering if anyone have any testimonies on how they got a good price on a car. i am in the los angeles area, and i have a good amount of car knowledge, i can fix minor problems, or do minor tune up on a car, or if needed i can change the breaks. so i just need to know where can i get a really good car for 3000 or less or better yet waaaay less in the los angeles area. if you have tried a government auction or any auction i would like to hear your testimonies or if you know of anyplace in LA where they sell pretty decent cars for cheap then let me know, i would really appreciate it

I am getting some money back from college grants(about $4600) and I was thinking of buying a nice car from a police or government auction, like a bmw or a lexus and selling it for profit. If I make a sizeable profit … then i keep reinvsting. I am always broke (can’t find a steady job) and I was thinking that I might be able to sustain myself while in college with this sort of business.What do you think. By the way I live in the Caribbean(shipping won’t be a problem for me) and we do not have police auctions like that here. What I would like to know is how much does a nice car like a bmw or lexus sell for in police auctions in atlanta or anywhere else for that matter. And is it worth it. Thanks ahead of time.

Does anyone know how and where i can go to find a new car for auction? i’m not asking for used or government seized vehicle with good mileage but something brand spanking new. I heard that since the auto industry are closing down some of their cars are sent out for auction. and that is exactly where i want to be/go. any tips/advice would be great. thanks a bunch.
